LISTEN TO IAN MACKAYE’S TWO-HOUR KCRW DJ SET
I met up with my Legendary jumping Friend Orly King. Yesterday I called Orly to check in and he happened to be hanging at Skydive Dallas, so I woke up this morning and thought I gotta go jump. So I took the 3 1/2 hr drive down there. I got a a couple jumps and some lessons from Orly. I just got back home. It was worth the 7 hour trek. Thanks you Sky.
If you don’t know Mike Vincent he has been very influential in our great world of BMX until a tragic accident took his sight. January 18th, 2008, Mike was hit by a car riding his bike in Los Angeles. Until this accident Mike shared his skills with me as one of my main judges and served as a member of the X Games Committee.

I never seen that show in its entirety. maybe just a few minutes. that was so cool. That was an incredible experience. wow. Kevin Jones, Spike Jonze so far a head of their times.
We went to Bercy Stadium in Paris, France to do a 1/2 pipe demo. They made us come out in a spaceship dressed like Q-Bert (in a silver space suite) before the demo and when we came out we had to remember to say: “Je m’appelle Mat Hoffman”. It was the first time I ever did a Flip Fakie in public. After I landed some kid grabbed my press pass around my neck and strangled me until he got his souvenir…. Thanks dude!.
I wanting to keep trying that flip, but my bike disappeared and they stopped the show. I guess I got in my own world and I forgot I was doing a show.
We also went to Les Gulleiottes in Paris rode. The French know how to make planters. It’s a brick transition heaven. side note: Spike and I tried really hard to communicate in English to French people and French to English people to make things as confusing as possible
Man, it’s crazy I made it to 40… Thanks for all the well wishes!! That blew me away… LOVE, PEACE & HARMONY. This is for you.

I took a fall flight to get a view from the sky how the trees paint the land. I flew from our current home over to our new house we’re renovating and walked around the sky and over the red trees. It’s peaceful. Here’s my view from my Contour:

I had the honor to perform and hangout with some of our sports legends and musicians this past Saturday 11.5.11. Here’s a surreal photo Mike Escamilla shot of me riding while Ben Harper laid down some soul.
Here’s my perspective of the show.
Quick trip to Universal Studios to check out Halloween Horror Nights. In 1 day we did 16 riders & 8 Haunted houses!
Took a quick ride before trick or treat time…
