Thanks for the memories THORNE• @rickthorne SWIPE 🏻 The OG #sprocketjockeys team was @condorbmx @bmxdmc @steveswope and me. It was an honor to be apart of this team, I think I’m the only one that got a Sprocket Jockey tattoo, cause these experiences we had together impacted my life forever. Travelin’ the country in a semi and not one of us a legal truck driver to killin’ it at a state fair for a turkey leg next to the pig races wit like 30 people watchin’ at times while Hoffmans spinnin’ a 8 foot no handed 540 And I learned how to host better doin’ these shows cause we used to switch off days from ridin’ and be on the microphone hostin’ as well. Like ride two days then one day host the show. I’ve done 500 SJ shows alone in just in Dallas over the years, and idk how many total over all the years, it was a grip though. Cause see we used to do a lot of the state fair shows across the USA, we was the biggest, baddest and best bmx show to be apart of at that time in my opinion, our line up was intense wit insane rippers. And there was no other halfpipe show doin’ as much as we were doin’ and I was able to quit my job after 7 years of bussin’ tables at the Olive Garden to do straight state fair shows all year round. That’s how I got dialed, ridin’ wit these legends day in day out, under pressure, I learned to perform excellent under pressure and be consistent. I still am to this day and I have taken that attitude into music, acting, tv/radio hostin’ and stand up comedy. It built my confidence even more, but I was always a lil cocky son of a gun I did SJ shows from 1989-1996 and I think we might of done a few shows in Oklahoma in 1988 as well, before we were steady straight carnies on the state fair circuit. I appreciate what you did for me @condorbmx you always looked after me and I appreciate all of our friendships Mat, Steve and Dennis ️ I learned a lot from all you badasses and had a kick ass time along the way… #boneshealchicksdigscars #rickthorne #stayrad #bmx #og #friends #legends #shredordie #bikerinblack ️STAY RAD️ @goodguysinblack @monsterenergy @monstermusic @neuroxpf @merge4socks @hoffmanbikes @fisthandwear @vannenwatches @vansbmx66 @gopro

Repost from Brian Gavagan @yellowdesigns #tbt Mathew Hoffman blasting from the roll in!
This was an amazing day- June 30th, 2001 at Woodward Camp in PA.
I hadn't competed in a vert event in 4 years so I entered Stunt Boy and ended up with the win after a crazy 270 to smith to broken front axle to flat bottom in my first run...
Luckily we all survived the bon-fire insanity at the hidden-cave campground with the gun-toting madman making his nightly rounds.
