This is a bit of an unconventional painting for me and this may take way too long to explain, but the legendary @rayschlechtweg asked if he could commission me to paint a black and white photo of him and ad some life to it. The photo is of him from an AFA contest in the mid 80s, at the velodrome, in Carson California. #CeppieMaes attached a smoke bomb to his bike and lit it, but wasn’t in the photo… Ceppies style kind of reminded me of tinker bell, for some reason, haha and Rays humor never grew old, reminding me of PeterPan, so this is what his painting morphed into today.
